TL;DR

Planify is a desktop application that runs entirely on your computer. We don't have servers, we don't collect data, and we don't track you. Everything stays on your device or in your own cloud accounts (Todoist/Nextcloud).

What We Don't Collect

Planify is a native desktop application that runs entirely on your computer. We don't have servers or infrastructure to collect data. This means:

  • ✓ No servers to send data to
  • ✓ No personal information collected (name, email, phone)
  • ✓ No usage analytics or tracking
  • ✓ No crash reports sent anywhere
  • ✓ No advertising or identifiers

Where Your Data Lives

All your tasks, projects, and settings are stored in one of these locations:

Local Storage

By default, all data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Only you have access to this data.

Todoist (Optional)

If you enable Todoist sync, your data is stored in your Todoist account. Refer to Todoist's Privacy Policy.

Nextcloud/CalDAV (Optional)

If you enable Nextcloud or CalDAV sync, your data is stored on your own server. You have complete control.

Third-Party Services

Planify is a desktop application with no backend servers. The app doesn't use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external connections are:

  • • Todoist API (only if you choose to enable Todoist sync)
  • • Your Nextcloud/CalDAV server (only if you choose to enable CalDAV sync)

These connections are encrypted, optional, and only occur when you explicitly enable them. Your data goes directly from your computer to your chosen service.

Open Source Transparency

Planify is 100% open source. You can review our entire codebase on GitHub to verify that we do exactly what we say.
